A wood-burning stove would provide some Scandinavian hygge on those chilly arctic nights...Small wind turbines were fitted and the roof was covered with solar panels...The original tarpaulin was replaced with curved windows while the rear superstructure of the boat was cut away, making way for a new plywood and fibreglass cockpit.</p></em><br /><br /><p>Calum Watson profiles two young architects who bought a retired Scottish lifeboat, converted it and set off on a 5,000km (3,100 miles) journey to Norway and beyond.</p>

The new 14,000-square- foot facility is being designed pro bono by Foster + Partners in association with Bade Stageberg Cox [...].</p></em><br /><br /><p>"Located on the Harlem River in northern Manhattan, the new boathouse will allow Row New York to dramatically expand its youth program for middle and high school students from New York’s most underserved schools and will feature a learning center with two state-of-the-art classrooms to accommodate the organization’s academic programs," reads the announcement from nonprofit <a href="https://rownewyork.org/" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">Row New York</a>. </p>
