<img src="https://archinect.gumlet.io/uploads/vy/vybph6z3w6xw26xw.jpg?fit=crop&auto=compress%2Cformat&enlarge=true&w=1200" border="0" /><p>Last week, deadly mudslides and flooding devastated the Santa Barbara area, destroying at least 100 single-family homes, and damaging another 300 residences, <a href="http://www.latimes.com/local/lanow/la-me-mudslide-montecito-mainbar-20180111-story.html" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">according to <em>the LA Times</em></a><em></em>. While three Montecito residents unfortunately remain missing, government crews have also begun the long and arduous task of clearing debris and getting the region back up and running.</p>
<p>In an effort to help the recovery, the <em></em><em><a href="https://www.independent.com/" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">Santa Barbara Independent </a></em>is undertaking a house-by-house damage assessment in order to provide a street-by-street look at which homes have been damaged, destroyed, or spared. All information gathered is and will continue to be added to this <a href="https://www.google.com/maps/d/u/0/viewer?ll=34.45015327610748%2C-119.64839618641508&z=16&mid=1tSzYm6DZpootH4aS3STEfYIHYPgak2jO" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">interactive map</a>.</p>
