The festival released its 2022 list of exhibitors on Thursday, which includes an installation program highlighted by a virtual metaverse space from the web-based studio <a href="https://archinect.com/features/article/150040996/object-objections" target="_blank">iheartblob</a>.</p>
<p>Touted as the world’s first-ever blockchain-funded pavilion, the installation "Fungible Non-Fungible Pavilion" has a specific focus on the concept of slowness similar to the overall theme of the biennial, which this year is “Edible; Or, the Architecture of Metabolism.”</p>

"The 2022 TAB installation calls for proposals that take a long, romantic, and human centric view towards construction technology, demonstrating designs and processes that extend and expand learning and mastery, traditional craftsmanship and analogue fabrication, repurposing and reuse of local materials, human invention and improvisation, environmental adaptation and responsiveness, wonderment, and delight."</p></em><br /><br /><p>The Tallinn Architecture Biennale (TAB) Installation Competition has announced 12 shortlisted teams out of 119 entries from 41 countries to continue on to the 2nd stage of the competition.</p>

The first issue focuses on “The Architecture of Architecture”—how architecture is constitutively enmeshed within ecologies, economies, socio-politics, technological regimes, and patriarchal structures. In the issue, some of the most innovative voices in contemporary architecture take a look at how this operates, and how it can be redesigned. In short, “The Architecture of Architecture” endeavors to sketch out the limits of contemporary architectural practice and thought, and to imagine alternatives.</p>
