The Stockholm-based photography hub Fotografiska was founded in 2010 by brothers Jan and Per Broman.</p></em><br /><br /><p>The ambitious proposal for a 89,000 sq ft Fotografiska London satellite <a href="https://archinect.com/news/article/150036404/fotografiska-london-to-launch-in-whitechapel" target="_blank">first appeared</a> on Archinect in 2017. <br></p>

The 89,000 sq ft gallery will have ticketed entry, but since it can show up to seven separate exhibitions, this ticket will get you far. This new home for photography follows Fotografiska’s successful gallery in <a href="https://archinect.com/news/tag/349/stockholm" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">Stockholm</a> which features new talent alongside the world’s most celebrated photographers, and has become a major visitor attraction in the seven years since opening. Londoners can expect solo exhibitions, themed shows, and charity collaborations – all of which will be highly interactive with app and social media integration.</p>
<p>The project, which benefits from its accessible location in Whitechapel will include a bar, café, and two restaurants serving sustainable cuisine.
