With the plethora of lectures, talks, symposia and panels occurring world wide on a daily basis, how can we begin to keep up and if not, find them once they are gone? Soapbox looks to assemble a selection of recent, archived and outlier lectures surrounding a given theme. Soapbox looks to curate this never-ending library of ideas into an engaging and diverse list of thoughts and provocations. Soapbox is just that, a collection aimed at discovering the occasional needle in a haystack.
https://archinect.com/features/article/149956435/it-s-the-culture-stupid-curatorial-statement-for-the-international-architecture-biennale-rotterdam-from-executive-director-george-brugmans It's the Culture, Stupid: curatorial statement for the International Architecture Biennale Rotterdam, from executive director George Brugmans Orhan Ayyüce 2016-07-09T09:38:00-04:00 >2022-03-14T10:26:05-04:00
It all started January 2010 when I first interviewed the director of International Architecture Biennale of Rotterdam George Brugmans for Archinect. Since then, our relationship developed and I closely followed his work at IABR which I find arguably the most serious biennale concerning urbanism and city-making at the highest level of reality and usefulness.
