Konishi and Gaffney met whilst working for <a href="http://archinect.com/firms/cover/12450131/heatherwick-studio" target="_blank">Thomas Heatherwick</a> in London. Gaffney was Heatherwick’s first employee, working as an architect on early projects from 1998 until 2004.</p>
