Instead of vast landscapes, urban environments are portrayed through intimate encounters with objects. Zhu also investigates the lives of his images as they become dispersed across various networks, excavating nonfictional narratives centered around the ghostly protagonist of the image itself in his book, <a href="http://www.bzbooks.org/facsimile/" target="_blank">Facsimile</a>.</p>
