<p>The Los Angeles and New York City-based practice was founded in 1981 by Frederick Fisher, the son of an architect who initially resisted pursuing a career in design himself but reconsidered after having read <em><a href="https://amzn.to/33bM6m1" target="_blank">Complexity and Contradiction in Architecture</a></em>.
