Townhouse Montrouge

The small house originally existing on the plot was preserved and integrated to the project. Replanned, the house was expanded through extension and heightening.
All levels are spatially connected by the staircase, a wide, open structuring space, providing natural light to all rooms.
With its back to the street side, the house looks onto a patio, and is composed as a series of piled-up volumes: the base, with brick and stonework, makes for a sturdy socle supporting the upper levels covered with wooden siding, and the zinc attic. In between the two sides of the attics that face each other, an overhanging terrace overlooks the patio.
