Parasitic Design

Regenerative Architecture and parasitic design approach for revivifying static urban core - Information center/performance/gallery space proposed for the San Diego Concourse in the Civic Plaza. The main goal of the design is to inject a form into existing condition to enliven the area without making too much impact. Despite the area being dedicated as a public open space, the condition is extremely static with no events or activities. The design proposal seeks to provide light for the area with increased communication between existing built environments. By fully incorporating the existing buildings in the design concept, light structure with multiple connections were made possible.
