The thesis was focused on studying how to leverage on a hypothesized metro station for the undergound line that is currently under construction in Palermo to better integrate the city with the port and sea.

The entire project has been thought in three parts: one main polyfunctional building situated above the metro line, the new cruise terminal and the connection between the two. 

The project was thought to serve both passengers and locals and therefore integrated with diversified services that would create a hybrid system that reestablishes the once lost blend between sea and city.
