Caitlin Wood is seeking a full time position as an Intern Architect to relocate and to pursue her goal of increasing skills, knowledge and passion in architectural applications and work practices (through the Intern Development Program).


Spectra Tech (Tetra Tech), Oak Ridge, TN, US, Junior Architect (Subcontractor)

Performing building inspections, documenting inventory in the field and analyzing life cycle data from interior, structural, mechanical and roof components in support of the Facility Condition Assessment and Sustainable Infrastructure Assessment projects for the US Air Force by the Army Corp of Engineers. Led roof team in pre- site visit coordination and field efforts. Also designed and drafted potential layout changes to new home office in Oak Ridge, TN. Directly supervised by a structural engineer to participate in IDP.

Intern Development Program: 953 hours currently approved; a combination of supplemental and core activities earned in work setting O (Professional Engineer). Areas so far include Business Management, General Project Management, Construction Administration and mainly Site and Building Analysis.

Member of a team that performed Home Energy Rating System evaluations for 13 candidate houses for the ‘Extreme Retrofit Project.’ Was responsible for all EnergyGauge simulations of each candidate house as well as product research to improve energy efficiency.
