Palmer Passive

Palmer Passive is a is a new-construction Passive House with a traditional carriage house applique along the front, public face and a modern expression along the more private rear alley. A clearly stated desire for low energy use, high indoor air quality and thermal comfort, along with the need for "passive survivability" during power outages pushed the team to choose Passive House as a design strategy early on. This 4100 sf foam-free design is seeking PHIUS+ 2015 certification, and is also designed to be Zero Energy with a 10kW solar rooftop array and battery backup.
