About

Rong (Breeze) Xue is an architectural designer graduated from SCI-Arc M.Arch1 with +1 year professional experience, exceptional design qualification and a strong desire to expel architectural professions.

I am seeking Junior Architectural Designer Position in full-time employment and willing to contribute my exceptional design abilities, architectural communication skills, potential of leadership as well as simultaneously to gain experience towards license. I am interested in retail, commercial and residential projects and enthusiastic for creating beautiful and enrich buildings where you could find out in my work sample. In addition, I have strong desire to grow up together with the team and blur radical thoughts with pragmatic techniques in architecture professions, working both conceptually and technically.

Pragmatically, my experience as junior architectural project designer managing residential and mixed-use projects including planning, designing in 3D and 2D, transferring conceptual work to permit and construction documents, reading and discussing building and zoning codes, providing drawings in collaboration with consultants, interaction with clients, have provided me with an excellent background in the practical aspects of architecture and design field. I am proficient in all 3d and 2d software including but not limited to AutoCAD(6-year proficiency) / Rhino / Vray / Maxwell / Familiar with Revit, as well as Adobe Suites and strong diagramming and presentation skills. In addition, I have gained six month’s IDP hours and +1 year experience throughout my previous experience.

Academically, my SCI-Arc Grad thesis redefined the notion "Iconicity”, which established a new code for Communication in Architecture in Silence in urban scale and the topic “Iconicity” was later on becoming one of promising discourses in the SCI-Arc Now symposium. During the three years, I was instructed by John Enright (SCI-Arc Vice director), David Ruy (Pratt Institute Associate Professor), thesis reviewed by Hernan Diaz Alonso, Caroline Bos, Ross Wimer and etc, thereby gained diverse radical design methods but also be able to think both abstractly and technically.
