Originally from western Montana, I grew up in an environment where hard work, responsibility, and honest values were instilled at a very young age and still remain the basis of my work ethic today. I have a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Environmental Design and I am currently a graduate student at Montana State University working on completing a Masters Degree in Architecture.
Gavin-Hanks Architectural Studio, Missoula, MT, US, Intern Architect
As an Intern Architect at Gavin-Hanks, I was able to gain a better understanding of the architectural process while also being exposed to the technical side of the profession. I was quickly integrated into a variety of projects including remodels, residential and commercial projects. Throughout my time with Gavin-Hanks, I gained an understanding of the importance of professional relationships working with architects, clients, engineers, city planning and marketing the firms capabilities. I focused on editing and creating construction documents, 3D modeling, drafting, red lining, documenting buildings, and creating renderings and presentation for projects as well as creating a new website for the firm. I worked with programs including AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Photoshop and Wix.
