forté timber interiors, based in Auckland, is celebrating eighteen months of being the exclusive New Zealand distributor of millboard decking, a premium British outdoor flooring solution. Forté operates in 13 locations across the country. The staff say that they are thrilled to have marked one year as partner to the prestigious British firm.

Forté Timber Interiors is constantly scouring the globe to bring the latest trends to New Zealand. Their extensive product range is inspired by the latest global flooring trends and with over 35 years’ experience in the timber industry, they are widely recognized at the experts in the field. Their reputation is a perfect match for Millboard, the UK’s market-leading manufacturer of wood-alternative flooring. Millboard’s hand finished decking boards are hand-moulded from real timber, including antique boards from a 100-year-old French railway carriage. Composed of a natural mineral and polymer resin, these versatile boards don’t split, warp or develop slippery algal growth like conventional wood does.

Forté have been overwhelmed by the interest in the range and are pleased to confirm that 2020 will see more colours and accessories introduced to the New Zealand market. Forté’s owner, James Piesse, confirmed that the business is ‘excited’ by the reception Millboard has had over the past year. He added that the addition of the range expands the possibilities for Forté given that they can ‘now provide exceptional floor coverings not only for indoor spaces but for outdoors too!’

Forté will be taking their celebrations to a broad range of events over the course of the coming year, including the Home and Interiors Show Wellington, Build NZ Designex, and the Auckland Home Show 2019.

About this Blog

This blog covers the most energising and restorative landscaping, biophillic architecture and perma-culture projects taking place across the world! I'm interested in how we incorporate nature into our environments, particularly urban environments. As we progress into the twenty-first century, we appear to be moving ever-further from the futuristic aesthetic that our predecessors imagined back in the mid-century. This blog looks at the methods and psychology of natural influence.
