The project blends a complicated program mixing industrial elements, urban farming components, retail, and housing. The inspiration for the design comes directly from the sites location. The site falls on the edge of an industrial center and a residential neighborhood. The architecture is articulated to mimic its surroundings dependent on the programmatic element housed within. The industrial elements take architectural cues from the warehouses nearby incorporating mass, and the housing (elevated above) becomes lighter and more intricate. The two elements meet in the middle to develop the retail core.
