My senior thesis project, Valley Oak Villas, is located in southern California.

Concept: Nature is associated with a feeling of well-being. It is vital to a persons physical mental health to have fresh air, sunshine, and a view to nature. Experiencing these elements provide natural endorphins, faster recovery times, and promote overall good health. Visual stimulation and natural spaces of warmth in the administration building, outdoor garden, and along every path will allow places for residents to pause and linger in thought, and an inspiring environment for staff. Individual residences create a feeling of ownership. Open views, inside and out, will increase orientation and bring a euphoric healing presence into the facility.
