St. Kilian Parish, New Church

In order to meet the needs of this growing parish and academic center, this project involves the planning and design of a new church building.  With a distinguishable basilica design, this church is cruciform in shape when viewed from above.   With seating for nearly 1,200 in the main worship area, the design for the new church incorporates a full range of spaces to meet the Parish’s wide range of needs, including a parish hall with a full commercial kitchen, several meeting rooms, offices, storage and other support spaces. Complete with stained glass windows, specialized lighting and other unique design details that will serve as a legacy to the community’s faith, the design will complement the other existing buildings on the growing Parish campus.

New infrastructure systems will support the operation and maintenance of the new church building, including plumbing, fire protection, electrical and a four-pipe HVAC system with an air cooled chiller, high-efficiency gas boilers, system pumps, and air handling units and blower coil units.

In addition to the church, the project includes the design of a new storage building near the soccer field. This new facility includes a concession stand with space for indoor seating, toilet rooms, and approximately 6 garage bays for general storage and maintenance operations that will support the Parish’s many activities.
