A two-story concept was proposed that incorporates a masterfully landscaped centralized patio and extensive amenities located on the property’s rooftop. Plunge pools, an outdoor lounge and outdoor fitness and yoga areas are all located on the roof, in the design's existing footprint, enabling more ground-level space to be allocated for landscaping and parking. A small cafe is proposed on an active street corner and, in addition to the rooftop amenities, is intended for both hotel guests and locals to enjoy. Conveniently located adjacent to the existing train station, the design incorporates bike lockers available to both guests and staff as well as landscape screening and sound attenuation for rooms facing the station. Upon completion, guests and community members will enjoy watching sunsets with sweeping views of both the Santa Ynez Mountains and Pacific Ocean from the only hotel rooftop experience within the City of Carpinteria.
