The Digital Archaeological Archive of Comparative Slavery, Archaeolgical Assistant,

Working with archaeologists from Monticello on processing, identifying, and cataloging archaeological collections from seventeenth-century sites at Flowerdew Hundred Plantation through both ArcGIS Pro and UVA archaeological lab.

Albemarle County Dept. of Community Development, Community Planner and Design Intern

Updating development area Master Plans & document layouts, drafting policy recommendations for form-based code, graphic production, community outreach, and land use policy research.

UVA Sanborn Mapping Team, GIS Assistant

Worked within an interdisciplinary research project that explored the intersections of historical housing construction patterns, race, & health on Sanborn Maps. The primary responsibilities involve digitizing historical maps.

The Design Thinking concentration has a urricular framework and studio themes that are constructed around four areas: Objects, Spaces, Systems + Graphics. These areas provide students with opportunities to creatively address design at multiple scales with an emphasis on collaboration, design research, visual communication, and prototyping. Design Thinking/Practices Studios range from collaborative studios with other disciplines such as education and health care and furniture design to community engagement and exhibition design.
