Batumi Arena

3 days were the time limitation for creating 3 different designs for the stadium, residing at the seaside. Location strongly inspired aesthetics.

1] Exterior is covered by sleek round forms, clearly resembling shells. Outer layer is slit horizontally in the middle, making room for the hallway.

2] Large colorful structures, folding up into angular shapes, were inspired by paper ship.

3] Minimalistic, smooth, wave-like shape flows around the arena. The first floor and the mid section is occupied by shops. Natural light penetrates the structure through the large grooves, gliding horizontally throughout the middle area.

Models were submitted to the design competition and 3 distinct creative approaches to the project were offered in order to satisfy wide range of aesthetic appetites
