Los Angeles, CA
Manhattan is a vertical city. It’s easy to get lost amongst the vertical lines and never look up. It’s easy to get caught up in the energy and not stop to change our prospective. Hudson Americano is set up to do just that - to skew our expectation of the linear verticality of Manhattan through a 4-dimensional facade pattern that shifts with the depth of light and perspective. It breaks up the monotonous fabric of Manhattan and hopefully offers moments of serendipity in doing so. The facade projects inward and outward at certain angles to increase natural light and heat absorption while also framing views of the city and the Hudson river. It is a beautiful combination of sustainable practice and ground- breaking design and construction.
