About

I am a recent college graduate with a bachelor's in architecture from the Illinois Institute of Technology. I am interested in developing my skills in the design of the built environment. I hope to work alongside experienced architects on a variety of different projects as I continue on my path to becoming a licensed architect. I believe it is important in today's world to introduce new sustainable technologies and design choices so that as architects we may improve the well-being of all human beings as we create a better future for our planet.

Working as an architectural intern at John DeSalvo Design helped me develop valuable skills in communication and teamwork. I worked directly under the principal architect in all stages of the design process. I created bid documents and coordinated between clients, contractors, and city officials throughout the bidding and construction phase. I developed presentation drawings and renderings using programs such as AutoCAD, Rhino 3D, V-Ray, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite. I also attended client meetings and verified onsite existing residential and commercial spaces to prepare base drawings.

At the Illinois Institute of Technology, I was the president of a student organization for a cappella and was a musical director before that. Singing is a passion of mine and it was a great experience for me to be able to develop skills in leadership, organization, event planning, and social media. I led an executive team and organized weekly meetings to accomplish tasks. I ran events throughout the year and communicated with school resources to acquire funds needed for new equipment.
