About 

Jesse Taylor is the founder and director of Social Works, an architecture practice based in Los Angeles.  Using architecture and art to explore the intersection of social, economic, and environmental sustainability, his work is focused on societies and the environments that shape them.

Before starting Social Works, he worked at numerous architecture and design firms including Food New York, Family New York, Huff + Gooden, and Hassell Studios.

His most notable clients and collaborators include Virgil Abloh, Tom Sachs, Kanye West, Axel Vervoordt, Playlab Inc, and Fools Gold.

He’s taught at The University of Western Australia as part of their Masters of Architecture program and sat on multiple juries and panels at Columbia University, The Pratt Institute, and New York University.

He has work installed around the world that has been featured in multiple publications including Complex, Hypebeast, Divisare, “Artwork” by Virgil Abloh, The Post, Architecture Australia, and The West Australian.

In March 2021, Jesse was awarded the Inaugural $30,000 Sculpture by the Sea Artist Award.

He received his Masters of Architecture at the University of Western Australia and runs Social Works from Los Angeles, CA.
