Catskills House

GA was hired to redesign a classic stone house in the Catskills without sacrificing the original character. The three bedroom, two bathroom, house went under a full overhaul, replacing most finishes, installing new lighting and custom millwork throughout.  

The kitchen features custom cabinetry, graphic tile and butcher block counters.  We also installed a large farmhouse sink and open walnut shelving to maintain a country feel without becoming too traditional. 

Other custom millwork includes a full height bookshelf that divides the dining room and sunroom. Upstairs, we opened up the space by raising the ceilings and exposing the original structural ties. We reorganized the layout to create a large master suite, including a bathroom with a custom vanity. New finishes throughout create an interesting juxtaposition between the framed collared ties above and the bright clean surfaces below.
