I am Dongkyu Yoon. As an upcoming graduate of Auburn University, I am looking for an architecture firm to leverage my skills and knowledge from various experiences to help your firm succeed with a new vision of architecture.

Raised under a construction manager father in South Korea, since an early age I have enjoyed reading architecture books or construction documents and visiting buildings under construction. This environment led me to study architecture at Auburn University. I have lived in a diverse range of different cultural and climate settings from a traditional Korean single house in suburban Seoul through a modern Korean high-rise apartment to a Southern-style house in Alabama. Experiencing these conditions of living enhanced my attitude toward architecture, which I think should be flexible and malleable to its various setting.

I have a broad range of design software skills, including AutoCAD, Rhino 3D, Sketchup, V-ray, and Adobe Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Lightroom). Furthermore, I spent my third-year fall semester at the Rural Studio for a design-build project in Newbern, Alabama. The small countryside is in a deep rural town with 300 residents. 15 colleagues under the supervision of professors collaborated in analyzing, budgeting, designing, scheduling, drawing, and building a 600 sq ft single-family house. Hence, I have a good understanding of construction as well. I can provide any additional information required.
