Goldtex Apartments

This building’s former life as a textile factory has been transformed into this 164 unit high-design apartment building in Philadelphia’s new Loft District. A new 11th floor penthouse structure sits atop the existing concrete frame, and houses a penthouse apartment unit and fitness center. The raised pool deck with spa-style pools is accessed from this penthouse addition, and provides wide sweeping views to Center City and to the east and north. Two retail tenant spaces are located on the ground floor. The basement accommodates 28 parking spaces and is accessed by a new ramp from the street.

The exterior cladding was designed by Kling- Stubbins (Jacobs Engineering) and The Façade Group. Coscia Moos Architecture was engaged to re-design interior spaces, coordinate life safety design with exterior curtainwall documents and provide overall architect of record services for the project.
