About 

A Los angeles-based architectural designer and a multi-disciplinary thinker, aspiring to rethink and reimagine contemporary architecture and elevate the human experience in future cities. A self-motivated, inquisitive, and highly ambitious human being determined to make a positive difference and be part of the next generation of creative thinkers to help find solutions to some of the greatest challenges through human ingenuity and creativity. Recently graduated with M.Arch 2 from the Southern California Institute of Architecture (SCI-Arc) with outstanding merit.

• Co-taught Advanced Materials and Tectonics for both the graduate and undergraduate levels alongside Instructors Maxi Spina and Randy Jefferson.
• Co-taught Visual Studies II for the graduate level alongside Instructor Andrea Cadioli.
• His responsibilities in all 3 seminars were to assist the instructors with course needs, conduct workshops & tutorials, review the student work and assist students with their assignments during office hours.

American Institute of Architecture Students - AUD Chapter, Dubai, UAE, President

• Led the AIAS team throughout the year, organizing lectures & events, taking care of administrative tasks, and working to make positive changes to the School of Architecture, which ended with the team being awarded the Outstanding Event of the Year Award at the AUD Gala Dinner 2019.
• He worked with the Department of Architecture at the American University in Dubai on various tasks and helped with some preparation for the NAAB accreditation visit which ended up with the Department earning the NAAB Accreditation.

• He worked on different design projects including the Award-winning Symbiotic Towers and the Parametric Jars. Where I worked on parametric design interactions using grasshopper and rhino. As well as preparing some Diagrams.
• He was also part of the design team of the Pearl | Emaar Iconic Mosque Competition. My responsibilities started with brainstorming ideas for the Concept Design Phase, then moved into Schematic Design, 3D modeling, preparing conceptual 2D Drawings, and finally to visualization and presentation.

• Worked as TA for Professor Jose Carrillo in Digital Design & Fabrication course. The course was focused on introducing digital design tools like Rhinoceros3D and other parametric tools like Grasshopper, Panelling tools, weaverbird...and others.
• Abdullah's job was to help the students complete their different assignments and projects during the course period. As well as, share his experience in different aspects of the workflow which ultimately produced remarkable student work at the end of the summer semester.

American Institute of Architecture Students - AUD Chapter, Dubai, UAE, Programming Director & Events Coordinator

• Abdullah was the Programming Director and part of the team that organized and executed for the First AIAS International Conference 2018 hosted by the American University in Dubai which attracted students from around the world, including a large sum of students from various Colleges and Universities in the United States.
• He also personally led the event organization for many events during the year including the Cityscape Global 2017 Visit, inviting a guest lecturer from SCI-Arc, a community event, and the collaboration with the AIAS University of Bahrain on AIAS Arab Tourism Week.

A two-year, five-semester advanced Master's program accredited by NAAB. SCI-Arc as a school is a think tank and a space for engagement, speculation, and innovation.
