I theorize that the relationship of an individual to a pen and paper remain superior to modernistic styles of assisted thinking in that we lose the sense of a lifeforce behind the design. The career path of architecture resides in a digital age where creative examples produced by artificial intelligence threaten the impression that pen and paper are no more than a pixel on a digital display.
I’ve since begun my research on the detrimental effects of assisted computational processes to human thinking by engaging the theory in an inversed order. By doing so, I’ve found that working in an analog manner of pen and paper accompanied by a vision pertaining to algorithmic design has immensely inspired me to pursue a more profound conclusion to my theory in that designing and hypothesizing simultaneously within an environment can fosters progressive thinking and creative innovation.
