The Volga corner was a collaborative project between students and professors of the department of architecture as one of the last PCI grants of the year. My role in the project was to carry design ideas and present them with the city council of Volga as the representative of the department of architecture. Then, I carried the project as a teaching assistant for the collaboration studio under professors Brian Rex and Brian Lee. The project’s goal was to create a public space for the town of Volga that was flexible enough to allow different events to take place, such as their 4th of July parade, ice cream socials, car shows, and harvest festivals. The project is located at the intersection of Kasan Ave and 2nd Street in the downtown of Volga.
