I am a designer passionate about using design as a medium to solve problems for people and invite new possibilities. I graduated in May 2022 from Columbia University with a Master of Science in Advanced Architectural Design and have worked as an architectural designer since.
My education trained me to be a proficient architecture student, skilled in various architectural design software, including Rhino, Revit, Dynamo, Processing, SketchUp, Vray, Enscape, Lumion, CAD, GIS, and Adobe Software suites such as Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere, and Lightroom. I love telling stories through perspective drawings, mappings, and collages. Additionally, I have knowledge of HTML and VR interaction tools, which is one of my strengths. During school, I took courses in data mining, mapping, interaction tools, and coding. I participated in website building and VR facility projects, gaining familiarity with the workflow of different disciplines and becoming adept at working with various stakeholders, from clients to construction teams to government officials.
Beyond my academic experience, I have had the opportunity to engage in various architectural practices. During my tenure at Houser Walker Architecture, I played a pivotal role in the Capitol Hill legislative building project, where I was responsible for most of the modeling and rendering tasks. The visual content I created garnered media coverage in Atlanta and helped secure a $392 million budget proposal. I also collaborated on the design of the courthouse, single family residential, Georgia Tech campus building, and church, participating in all phases from concept design to construction documents using Revit and Dynamo. My coordination with builders and developers on detailed specifications, schemes, renderings, and construction drawings enhanced construction efficiency and accuracy. My proficiency in Revit workflows and expertise in integrating Rhino and Grasshopper ensured seamless project collaboration.
At David Chipperfield Architects, I contributed significantly to the Shanghai City Hall renovation by developing 3D models, VR experiences, and animations that enhanced client engagement and received national media coverage. Additionally, I played a key role in the award-winning Taoxichuan Cultural and Creative District Master Plan by producing detailed drawings and elevations featured in leading design publications.
My role at CallisonRTKL Design Consultancy of Arcadis involved redesign, concept development, and the creation of detailed renderings. I showcased strong visual storytelling skills and spearheaded the adoption of data visualization tools, streamlining the analysis and presentation of complex project data.
Architecture is the physical expression of the people within it. My experiences have not only equipped me with real-world design skills but also fostered my inclination toward design that positively impacts society, transforms environments, and creates exceptional experiences for people.
