Winning panels to the 2014 resilient school design course. Jury members were Prof. Kenneth Frampton, Arch. Cameron Sinclair, Arch. Xavier Vilalta, Ayesha Vera-Yu, Arch. Felino “Jun” Palafox Jr, Arch. Andres Reyes, and Arch. Andres M. Abusman.

The project will be implemented later this year along with three other proposals in collaboration with the Department of Education and Architecture for Humanity in the Philippines in support of the Typhoon Haiyan victims and community. As part of an open source platform, OOAc founded by Ivan R. Shumkov, PhD, the project will also serve as resource and prototype for Resilient and Sustainable School Design that can be used in other communities of the world in need in the future.
