I was born in the beautiful, culturally rich Midlands region of South Africa, where I completed my schooling before immigrating to Australia with my family. Growing up in such a multicultural environment primed my love for travelling and immersing myself in other cultures, while broadening my view of the world. I also enjoy skiing, photography, entertaining and organising events.
I am currently studying a Bachelor of Architecture at the University of Queensland, and will be graduating this December (2013). I am an active member of SONA (Student Organised Network for Architecture), and have taken part in the SONA mentorship program with arkLAB and then GHD. This has proven to be an enriching experience as I have gained insight into the workings of both a small and a large architectural practice. It has also fuelled my passion for architecture, a passion that has changed the way that people around me view the built world.
SHORT TERM OBJECTIVE:
To become part of an established architectural firm in a part-time capacity while I complete my bachelor’s degree. To experience, learn and contribute as much as possible, and develop my existing skills and knowledge.
LONG TERM OBJECTIVE:
To become an integral part of a leading international architectural firm, where I can utilise my experience and creativity to contribute to the design process and completion of meaningful architecture.
