About

I am a recent graduate from Northeastern University with a Master Degree in Architecture and a great passion for the architectural profession.

In the past two years, I have had the opportunities to practice and study residential and commercial architecture. I interned at Handel Architects, worked on a few mixed-use and residential towers in New York City and in Boston primarily during the DD, CD and CA phases. My architectural representational skills, attention to detail and teamwork ability were refined through assisting varying tasks, such as reference consultant drawings and creating CDs. Furthermore, I joined the High Rise Research Studio and Design Studio in graduate school, where I studied this typology by analyzing over two hundred precedents, interpreting designing rules and produced a design project responding to an RFP in downtown Boston. While my experience has prepared me with knowledge and skills on residential and commercial projects, I certainly look forward to the design opportunities on other typologies.

My previous 6-month internship at NU Space Planning and Design provided me experience with institutional architecture planning and renovation. Having assisted on multiple academic/work place projects, I built a solid foundation on CD drafting in AutoCAD, graphic communication and client communication. Through preparing the full as-built documentation of a science building for its future re-development, I had the opportunity to communicate with a large number of space users, which drives me to think of design within a social and practical context.

I have also worked at some offices in China during summer time. I participated in many commercial, residential, institutional and interior projects, which broaden my understanding of the architectural industry. The significant work load and unique teamwork culture equipped me with good time management skills and the ability to deliver high quality work under pressure.

I am a self-disciplined person who is committed to this profession. Through internships, I developed my skills with AutoCAD, Rhino, Sketchup, Adobe Suite, Revit as well as physical and 3D printed models. I have collected 47% of the required IDP hours for future licensure prerequisite. Since graduation, I have passed the LEED Green Associates test, and I am currently studying for the LEED AP BD+C exam.

I am looking forward to joining an architectural team and starting building my career.
