PERFORMANCE ART / CONTEMPORARY OPERA SPACE

The project is primarily a stage system that can be configured to be both vast as well as intimate, connected to the Geffen Contemporary, and influenced by a few key precedent studies -- the potential for reconfiguration in Gropius’ Total Theater and Ostermeier and Hillje’s update of the Schaubühne am Lehniner Platz as well as the expression of structure in Peter Rice’s engineering of the Centre Pompidou.
