For this renovation, the brief was to embrace the client's loft-style living while meeting their new needs: two additional bathrooms, three bedrooms, a den, office, laundry, extensive storage and closet space, and a complete renovation of the kitchen.

Maintaining the original large dining and living space was crucial. Demolition revealed extra height in this area, and sight lines along both axes of the apartment helped retain the openness of the space, as did the addition of full-height pocket doors.
