Born in Yokohama, grew up in Yokohama, Los Angeles, Taipei and Tokyo, and now live in New York.

Earned a Bachelors Degree in Architecture from Waseda University in Tokyo, followed by a Masters Degree in Architectural Engineering from Waseda Graduate School of Science and Engineering in Tokyo. After three years career at real estate consulting companies in Tokyo, she moved to New York City and earned AAS (Associates Applied Science) Degree in Interior Design at Parsons. She was named in Parsons AAS Dean's list for Fall 2011 and Spring 2012 as a result of her excellent academic performance.

​Her academic and career backgrounds are giving great influences on her design. Her design approach starts from thorough investigation which is based on her real estate business background, and she develops her design from creative concept to technical details, which is influenced by her academic background, architectural engineering.​
