About 

I am a Bilingual Architect/Project Manager who has over 20 years experience in the Retail/Construction and Design Industries.  Throughout my career as an Architect, I have overseen the planning, design, and construction of different types of Retail, Mix Use and Residential projects from conceptual design through design development, production of construction documents to final delivery to the client. I have also performed site surveys and property assessments, managed Teams of Designers, Planners, Architects, Engineers and Builders. I have interfaced with Client’s Creative, Technical and Construction Teams during the process of planning, design, production of CD´s and construction. I have managed concurrent multiple prototypes for domestic and International clients (implementation and site adapt of prototypes in multi-site locations throughout the U.S., Mexico and Latin America).

CR architecture + design, Dallas, TX, US, Project Manager

Manage the production of construction documents for Kroger Marketplace in the Southwest region, including the Dallas and Houston Areas. Each individual project includes all departments of the grocery store, apparel, pharmacy, eating area and Starbucks Café. Responsibilities include scope trips, site surveys, management and coordination of Architectural, Civil, Structural and MEP documents as well as code review and production of specification books. Interface with AHJs, Building Officials and third party plan review companies. Interface with Kroger’s Real estate, Store Planning, Design and Construction teams. Review of RFI’s, COP’s & Shop Drawings. Production and review of WIP Reports, Project Plans, Staff Allocation and Utilization Reports. Production of proposals and ASO’s for client approval. Responsible for the quality assurance of CD’s before their release for permit and bidding. Conduct Construction Administration, coordination of Addendums and Bulletins during the Construction Phase of the project. Produce punch List -post punch visits and reports.

Managed the production of Walmart Neighborhood Markets in South Carolina, Alabama and Texas. Responsibilities included due diligence studies of proposed sites, interface with building officials, code research and review of shop drawings. Oversaw the production of construction documents and quality assurance of CD’s before being released for permit and bidding. Conducted site visits and site observations. Produced punch lists and post punch visits and reports. Performed site surveys and managed finish out projects for various retail clients.

Managed the production of projects for Walmart, Mexico, Office Max, Mexico and The Home Depot in the U.S. Responsible for the design and production of a Callison presentation for Walmart, China in coordination with the Seattle, Mexico & Shanghai offices. Managed the production of Construction Documents for branches designed for Washington Mutual & HSBC in the U.S. Surveyed over 3,000,000 Sq. Ft. for The Home Depot in the U.S. (stores in Texas, California, New York, Illinois and Florida). Trained, mentored and managed junior teams of Architects, Design personnel and Space Planners. Integrated Builders, Dallas, TX, Construction Superintendent/Project Manager

Managed the construction of the Red Oak Depot shopping center during an entire year, working 100% of the time at the Jobsite. Construction was done with Tilt Walls. Site work included utilities, paving, flatwork, foundations, tilt walls, structural steel, roofing, MEP installations, finishes, and furnishings as well as the close-out process, including partial and final inspections and delivery to the client.

Acted as leader and facilitator for the Walmart Expansions projects in the U.S., including interdisciplinary work with Walmart Teams (Design, Grocery, Architectural, Engineering and Special Divisions). Visited, surveyed and evaluated Sites throughout the U.S., in coordination with the client, for the acquisition of facilities for the expansion of existing stores. Conducted construction observations in coordination with the Architectural and Construction Departments at Walmart. Obtained documentation approval from Building Officials and Community Leaders.
