The Lighting Practice is proud to announce that two of our lighting designers, Rochelle Spahn and Erin McCauley, have recently received promotions at the firm.

Rochelle Spahn, Associate IALD, MIES - Associate
Rochelle has been promoted from Project Manager to Associate. She joined TLP in 2013 after working as a designer and project manager for two Philadelphia area lighting design firms. As a well-rounded designer, Rochelle’s project experience extends through corporate, retail, hospitality and healthcare to civic, institutional, landscape, and exterior facades. She shares her knowledge and experience with Drexel University students as an adjunct professor in the Department of Architecture + Interiors. In her new position, Rochelle will continue to lead by example and support the firm’s clients.

"In this new leadership role, I keep in mind it isn’t about personal achievements; it's about engaging with a team and keeping them focused and motivated to do their best," Rochelle said.

Erin McCauley, Jr. Associate IALD - Project Manager
Erin has been with TLP since 2014 and was recently promoted to Project Manager. Prior to joining TLP, she worked as an in-house lighting designer for a prominent Philadelphia A&E firm. Drawing on a love of architecture and nature and a background in the fine arts, Erin has worked on projects in various sectors, including healthcare, education, corporate, hospitality, retail, landscape, and exterior facades.

“The Lighting Practice has provided a rich environment for my professional growth as a lighting designer,” Erin said. “I look forward to embracing my new role, along with the learning experiences and opportunities that it brings.”

As our newest Associate and Project Manager respectively, Rochelle and Erin will uphold TLP’s design and customer service standards while furthering our mission to make ordinary spaces extraordinary. We are proud of the talent and creativity Rochelle and Erin bring to our team and the lighting design community at large.
