Created Bidding Drawings with replacement & restoration details for the rehab or new installation of 1,080 windows at a National Landmark apartment building in Elmwood Village in Buffalo. This was a 2-week consultant commitment.

•• (Sr. Architect) Assigned to team on Construction Documents phase of Western NY Workforce Training Center project. • Evaluated designs of fire-resistance-rated partitions, openings & ceilings. • Emailed & met with fire-stopping product reps. Researched code-approved systems for assemblies, penetrations & joints. • Created construction details & provided them to junior-level drafters for inclusion in Bidding Drawing sets. • Oversaw revisions to building plans, details & sections. Performed review of drawing set, symbols, sheet numbering & sheet layouts.
•• (Construction Inspector) Performed daily construction inspections for Town of Amherst Engineering Dept. at construction site of a 25-home subdivision. • Created daily Inspection Reports with notes, sketches & photos. • Communicated with Town staff, general contractors & designing civil engineers. • Oversaw sitework & construction & installation of: sanitary sewers & manholes; water-mains & fire hydrants with pressure & biological testing performed by testing lab; Storm inlets, piping & stormwater management ponds; Roadway paving & curbing: and Rear Yard inlets & piping, including their connection to storm sewer system.

Drexel's B. Arch. Program is offered at night; students have full time jobs in architecture firms in Philadelphia & nearby. For 2 years I worked as Teaching Assistant & Grader in the required full-year History of Architecture course. When I went to Drexel, the minimum length of Architecture Studio sequence was 7 years. (There are currently other program options.)
