Cherry Lane Theatre

Situated in a landmark building in Greenwich Village, Cherry Lane Theatre serves a a vital lab for the development of new American works and a home for groundbreaking productions of both new and classic theater of the highest caliber. As New York's longest continuously running off-Broadway theater, Cherry Lane has helped to define American drama, fostering fresh, daring, and relevant theater since 1924.

The project was a comprehensive renovation of the entire theater. The scope of work included the interior of the main house with new seating, acoustical wall treatments, house and technical stage lighting; sound system; a new HVAC system; backstage control booth; green room and dressing room remodel; lobby, ticket booth and concession area; black box theater; and a contextually sensitive redesign of the historical front facade.

In collaboration with one other team member, as well as working with our firm's owner Mitchell Kurtz, we saw the project through from initial concept design through construction and occupancy.
