The Center for Arts and Technology occupies 15,000 sf in Science Park, and trains 100 local unemployed and underemployed adults a year for phlebotomy, medical coding and billing jobs. The school also holds an after-school digital arts and reading program for 100 kids in the fall.
Before renovation, the facility was a laboratory for Kodak company. The bright new space now holds two designated conference areas, a kitchen/cafeteria, library, art gallery and three main classrooms. Svigals provided custom artwork for the main wall as you walk through the entrance. The mural was completed by ConnCAT staff during the grand opening ceremony.
