About

Graduating with M.Arch (Master of Architecture) and MSBE (Master of Science in Built Environment) degrees in May 2017 from Arizona State University with a focus on building façades, shading systems and micro – climate response through building design. I give great importance to proportions, minimalism, detailing and function over form in design while I have been working on devising formal geometries in design based off of specifics in mathematical formulae and climatic data for different geographical locations; also basing my research on material responses in built environments.

I hold some background in practical application of my bearings through undergraduate and graduate degrees with three separate internships over the last five years . At Roto Architects (Los Angeles) I worked on presentation drawings and developing analysis models for sustainable systems as part of a design proposal for a resort and wellness center, in Desert Palm Springs, CA. This project is designed by Michael Rotondi, and my role included proposing energy systems, including Geoexchange HVAC system with a conscious integration into the design ideology. My internships at The Elements (Panchkula, India) and DAAT (New Delhi, India) truly helped me understand the challenges with designing low impact building strategies for low-budget projects in the developing world. The building designs utilized passive design strategies like solar chimneys, insulated wall panels and Trombe Walls to mitigate heating and cooling loads.
