About

Autobiography

With a strong passion and interest in architecture and the surrounding built environment, Stephanie Herzog works towards building a foundation of designing for a career.  The beauty that is captured in historical sites draws her towards the preservation of these landmarks.
In 2010 Stephanie graduated from the University of Wisconsin Stout, where she received her Bachelor of Fine Arts with a concentration in Interior Design.  With hopes of doing research in the job field, she pursued to obtain further education in a program with Council for Interior Design Accreditation.  Stephanie is currently attending the Academy of Art University for her Master of Fine Arts in Interior Architecture & Design.

Personal Goal Statement

History is the leading inspiration towards the future.  This is why it is necessary to preserve what information we have from the past to create a better world.  The interior space that has been created by man is one of the most influential spaces of our lives.  It is important to create an environment that is positive and healthy to coexist in.  As an Interior Architect Designer it is Stephanie’s goal to develop functional environments from preexisting structures.  Gaining experience that may benefit the potential for a LEED AP certification, environmental studies and research would be optimal.  Stephanie wishes to work towards becoming a certified interior designer whose emphasis is in restoration of preexisting historical sites.  After achieving a MFA in Interior Architecture and Design, she wishes to work towards a doctorate.  With work experience in renovation and the educational background, she hopes to be able to participate in research on increasing sustainability while preserving architecture.
