About 

Professional Experience and Goals:

35 years of experience in project and client management, design and construction administration serving a broad base of clients including private developers companies and individuals, Board of Regents, Postal Agencies, and Transportation Agencies.

As the economy starts to move in a positive direction, I am looking to position myself to step back into the Design, Development and Construction Industry as quickly as I am able.
 

My professional experience and background has given me the expertise to manage and lead project teams consisting of architects, designers, consultants and contractors while managing the design, construction process and budget on many different project types.  These project types include community facilities, office buildings, multifamily projects,  resort housing, libraries, educational facilities, churches, clubhouses, warehouses, retail, mixed-use development and assisted livings facilities.

I have experience in different types of construction methods from wood framing and steel construction to precast and tilt-up.  I understand the means and methods of and the detailing of each type of construction.  The projects I have worked on vary in cost ranging from $500,000 to $10,000,000.

I have 22 years in the residential/retail market serving a broad base of clients including private developers, housing authorities and private individual.  My experience includes new construction; renovations and additions; historic preservations; medical offices for a variety medical specialties: surgery centers: residential (townhomes, apartments; senior housing; assisted living facilities and mixed used); retail centers, industrial and educational.

Crescent Mortgage, Atlanta, GA, US, Support Staff for goverment compliance

Hired by Crescent Mortgage to work in their RESPA Department reviewing Truth In Lending statements and working with brokers on their submitted documentation for government compliance. I have also worked in Crescent Mortgage’s Appraisal Department as the in-house coordinator for an appraisal management company. Here, I was coordinating orders, collecting payment information and dealing with broker concerns for the orders placed thru Crescent Mortgage. After returning to the RESPA Department, I am presently a part of the support team assisting loan mangers and processors.

Volunteer Experience - Habitat for Humanity

Volunteer for builds and completed 8 hours of actual build time. Assisted with sorting thru and loading of building materials from various companies on Habit for Humanity trucks.

Contract Experience

The dynamics of the economy has resulted in my move to contract status with Sizemore Group. I continued to work as needed as a senior project manager with current clients and assist with design and construction documents on others. In addition, I was able to find additional contract work with the small architectural office, UpBuild Design, LLC. For UpBuild Design, I managed projects, assisted with construction administration on others, assembled RFP and RFQ (some in SF330 format) and wrote fee proposals for new projects.

Sizemore Group, Atlanta, GA, US, Senior Project Manager

20 months as a Senior Project Manager working on a variety of project types including educational buildings, residential communities and office building renovations. Assigned to several incomplete projects in various stages of work to take thru to construction administration. Senior Project Manager for a feasibility study for the renovation and restoration of historic textile mills in Graniteville, South Carolina and vicinity. Other responsibilities include marketing, writing proposals and responding to Request for Proposals.

Five years as a Principal and Project Manager/Architect on a variety of projects of tilt-up and pre-engineered building construction as well as wood and conventional steel construction. Building types include office/warehouses, churches, low-rise office building, residential, multi-use, schools and retail centers. Other responsibilities include management of CAD library and procedures, writing proposals, and presentation of zoning variance requests for clients.
