The act of Light was inspired by the natural glare display in the sky, particularly in the high latitude of the Arctic regions. The idea was to conceive a non-direct, ambient glow that would reflect the very delicate nature of the Aurora Borealis. Just like its natural counterpart  the lamp is able to change its hues in a very gradual and subtle way, creating a rather visual performance of Illumination.
