About

An avid scholar, I jump at the opportunity to learn something new and to hone already possessed skills. My enthusiasm is boundless. My desire for competition and challenge push me to greater achievements, yet I value team cohesion and fostering good, healthy relationships with my team mates. I enjoy being wildly creative and finding innovative solutions to problems both simple and complex.

I am well versed in engineering software such as NX CAD, and I can use Microsoft Word and Excel proficiently. I desire to use my engineering, physics, and mathematical knowledge to enhance my architectural designs, particularly in a biomimetic manner.

Employment

Rensselaer Summer Pipeline Programs, Troy, NY, US, Teaching Resident Assistant

I counsel children and teenagers who attend the various summer camps hosted by the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. The job requires constant attention as well as sensitivity to the individual and group's needs. Overnight camps are particularly trying; they demand waking up early to get the kids ready for breakfast, then staying up to make sure they had all gone to bed. Counselors are also to facilitate organized play and encourage a safe learning environment for all the campers.

Government and Community Relations Center, Troy, NY, US, Employee

I managed the database of politicians in the Senate that RPI was required or obligated to remain in contact with. I conducted research online to verify that the politicians were still in their position and occasionally called them to verify, if necessary. I also assisted in planning commencement: editing and sending invitations to alumni, editing plans that were to be forwarded to the institute's president, and other odds and ends of clerical work. Finally, I managed RPI's social media page on Facebook, posting articles on the profile as an admin.
