NEW JERSEY ARCHITECTS ASSIST NJIT
ARCHITECTURAL STUDENTS

A group of AIA-NJ Architects met with second, third and fourth year architectural students to review their portfolios. Michael Hanrahan President of AIA-NJ and Laurence E. Parisi, AIA-NJ President Elect were accompanied by other professionals to offer students a hand in organizing their portfolios with regard to presentation and content. The mentoring was to help students realize what architects will be looking for in potential applicants for employment.
Other professionals who attended to assist the students were Natasha L. Suzansky, AIA, Benjamin Bakas, AIA, Antonietta Alberto, Philip Iannitto, AIA, Ahmed Youssef, AIA, Sonali Dalvi, AIA, and Ray Heinrich,AIA. Also in attendance were Joyce and Debora Scatuccio.
What was impressive were the serious attitudes and objectives of the students to make their presentations the best they could. Some of the more impressive portfolios were done with Revit that included beautiful color rendered plans, sections and perspectives.
