Architectural design is ultimately tied to surface articulation and formation. The model studies and drawings presented here comprise parts of each student’s library of formal experiments for design. The experiments have focused on minutely scaled dynamics and structuring events that inform architectural surfaces and, thus, architecture.
The work is part of an ongoing research programme, ‘The Life of Buildings,’ that culminates with building proposals for the city of Volos in Greece.
